Uneven haircut
If you are not happy then go back. It’s hard to picture what you’re describing as pieces sticking out the back. What kind of haircut is it?

Could it be the way it was blow dried? If not, I would def go back and have it straightened out.

I have since washed it and dried it twice.

Ohhhh. Then def go back. I would feel awkward going back, but you shouldn't have to walk around with uneven hair.
