he's leaving me... already
oy!
DS wasn't sure when his last official day as a marine was going to be due to his never taking a vacation day.
i wanted to have an informal "welcome home" gathering... so i picked a date that i KNEW he would be home. i picked 09/07. that's a week from tomorrow. ok, fine.
the young man comes home, hangs out a bit, applies for a few jobs. starts working. ok, fine.
well, last weekend, there was a small family gathering... he and a cousin got to talking and now they've decided to be roommates.
remember the part of my story where i said that his WELCOME HOME party is NEXT WEEK?? well, DS has already moved out of the house 
he left the nest before i got to "officially" welcome him home!
honestly, i'm just pleased as punch that he's doing his own thing.
