Engagement ring purchase

On this forum because the newlywed one gets hardly any action. Anyone get their engagement ring from an online retailer like Blue Nile? After 16 years of marriage I am getting a new one because my old one has disappeared Chat Icon . Fortunately we had insurance on it and originally got it in diamond district but I hear online retailers are better deals now. Is that true. What was your experience? Are the GIA certified?

Also, if given the chance, would you upgrade your ring like increase size of stone. I want to stay as close as possible to what I had because that was the "ring".

dh bought my engagement ring online from blue nile, we are very satisfied. he bought it 18 years ago (omg). i had no input but he knew the general style i was into.

yes its gia, and i have ins on it.

if i had the chance yes i'd upgrade the size.

Mine is from Blue Nile. He purchased it 3 years ago. I had no idea he was purchasing it and he measured a costume jewelry ring I have that I wear on my middle finger and is still big, so the sizing was way off and the diamond had to be completely reset.

We had no issues with having it reset. We took it to the store they have at Roosevelt Field and they took care of everything for us. It was so easy. Anytime I am in that mall I stop in and have it cleaned too.

It is GIA certified and we have it insured.

ETA: I have other pieces from there too. My husband only online shops so this is where we now gets any jewelry for me from. We haven't had any issues.

Engagement ring purchase

My ring is from blue nile. Bought in 2007. Their customer service is excellent. I’ve lost some stones a few times and every time they replace them for free. Even all this time later.
