Any recommendations on kid-friendly activities in the Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT areas?

Re: MA Rec's
If you are going this weekend, the Big E fair is happening and that's awesome. We have been to some nice, random pumpkin farms that have a lot to do at them in and around that area. Like in Enfield and Somers, CT

The Big E sounds awesome. I'll look into those 2 farm areas. Thank you!

Re: MA Rec's
My kids are 2, 4 and 6 and had a GREAT time at the Yankee candle store in Holyoke. There was candle making, a room where it snowed, places to write a letter to Santa, singing elves, oversized checker/connect 4 games, a large boat to climb on, a candy shop, a small animatronic show. Not sure it would be great for older kids, but all three of mine had a great time. Stayed 2 hours (had pizza there) - it was a stop over on the way to New Hampshire - but all three kids could have stayed longer.
There is also a Dr. Seuss museum in Springfield - but I have never been, so can't vouch for it personally.
