Thinking of leaving New York and going to Florida
We have thought about it and are in the early stages of starting to do some homework on areas in Florida to move to. I’m just tired of trying to keep up here and feel like we are getting nowhere. Plus my parents are there and getting older so would like to be closer to them.
We want to be around the Wellington/Coral Springs area and need a good school district for my daughter.
Anyone move down there and love it? Any other suggestions? We want to be within a half hour if Delray Beach (where my parents are).

The only two public school districts in that area that are even relatively close to a Long Island district is Wellington SD and Jupiter SD.
Everything else... meh.

Definitely look into Jupiter. It’s a great area!

Re: Thinking of leaving New York and going to Florida
I moved to Florida 6 years ago. I have lived in both palm beach county and martin county so i can give you my opinion and suggestions based on my personal experiences.
As far as public school's, Martin county beats Palm beach county schools. Martin county public schools are A rated whereas Palm Beach schools are B rated regarding district.
Jupiter has become way too over populated.
I lived in Jupiter for 3 years.
Palm City is great l. Stuart and Jensen Beach. They are all in Martin County.
I also lived in West Palm Beach for a while.
Martin county for public schooling is the best option for your kids.
Good luck.
