Weighted Blanket?

Does anyone use a weighted blanket? Does it REALLY help you sleep better? I'm a terrible sleeper, up for a few hours in the middle of the night or waking up too early, wondering if a weighted blanket would help with this?

Re: Weighted Blanket?

My son has one, and he loves it. Im the opposite, I dont like heavy blankets to begin with, so they are not for me.

Weighted Blanket?

My DH has a weighted blanket. I do not think it makes him sleep any better. It definitely disrupts my sleep though as it gets tangled in the regular blankets and I can not pull them up in the middle of the night since the weighted blanket is too heavy. I am also pretty sure the weighted blanket two sets of sheets....

Have you tried a sleep exercise? We use the Head-space sleep-cast to help us fall asleep. I think I would also benefit from a sound machine or sleeping ear plugs as I am also a terrible sleeper.

I use one. I do find that I sleep better, but I get really hot at night (hot flashes) so I have to kick it off during the middle of the night. And it is harder to deal with sheets since it's pretty heavy, but once you get used to it, it's nice.

I bought one for my son for Christmas and he really likes it. I don't know if he sleeps better but his sheets aren't all over the place like they used to so he's probably not rolling around as much.

My husband got me one and I don’t feel a difference at all. First a 15 lb one and that was too heavy and then now I have a 12 lb one
Maybe the first few nights I slept better because mentally I thought it would help but no, I’m still tossing and turning and waking up all night. I don’t remember the last time I slept a consistent sleep without waking up

I have the brookstone brand cooling weighted blanket and it is cool when you first get in bed and doesn’t seem to get hot....purchases at bed bath :)

Re: Weighted Blanket?

I got one for Christmas. My husband brought it for me thinking it would help me sleep better - my anxiety tends to make me have bad dreams almost every night and I end up waking up so tired even after 7-8 hours of sleep. So. I LOVE the blanket - love the way it feels and it's so cozy, it's like being wrapped up in a cocoon all night. However in all honesty, no, my sleep problems have not stopped unfortunately.

Didn't do anything for me either. Plus it always slide off the bed and I'm too tired to pick it up while sleeping...annoying.

Re: Weighted Blanket?

We have one. I like it when I'm on the couch watching TV, but I wouldn't be able to sleep with it.
