my sweet boy... ok, he's 25, but he makes me laugh.

today, he's been going on and on about how it's unfair how much money gets taken from his paycheck in taxes.

**insert ALL of LIF laughing**

he has no idea how much uncle sam, plus 401(k), plus insurance, plus, plus, plus gets withheld from the rest of us.

i thought this was too funny.

ah, to be that young and to feel that $60/week is too much to be withheld.

After my first job at 14 I saw my first paycheck and was dismayed at the amount taken out for taxes. My mom called me her little Republican.

Tell him he’s lucky he doesn’t have to pay a TV tax in the US. I have to pay one here (other countries have them, too) to the tune of a bit over $200 per year. Every household has to pay for it. Even if you don’t have a TV, you still have to pay for it because you use radios and cell phones.

Oh and the church taxes they have here. But those are easy to get out of. Oh and the tax I get charged to rebuild former East Germany.
