Side dish options
I need more ideas for sides. I feel like I always make the same. Here's most of the sides I make depending on what the main dish is of course--
pasta baked potatoes small garlic potatoes black beans baked beans white rice, spanish rice or the broccoli and cheese rice veggies (usually alway some veggie with the side as well I get frozen or make fresh)
Any other easy and different ideas for a side dish.

Re: Side dish options
I like to make rosemary roasted potatoes or onion & garlic roasted potatoes. Mashed potatoes. Garlic bread or texas toast. Or even biscuits or croissants- the pillsbury ones. Risotto. It's tough I feel like I do the same crap all the time.

Re: Side dish options
Broccoli sauteed with garlic and bread crumbs. I like to cook it till some of the broccoli is burnt.
Cut up potatoes (whatever kinds you like). Mix with olive oil and Lipton onion soup mix. Then bake them. I think the directions are on the Lipton box. I only eat sweet potatoes this way.
I haven't tried this yet but I will. Looks so good. Creamy Garlic Parmesan Risotto
Salads - all different ways
Pinterest - the best thing ever. So many great recipes there.

Re: Side dish options
sliced cucumbers with some greek yogurt and s&p roasted carrots (toss in s&p, cinnamon, oil, spread on a sheet pan and bake for 40-45 minutes at 380) sauteed mushrooms and onions (chop finely and sautee in some oil, salt, pepper, garlic) roasted potato wedges
i feel like i always make the same thing as well. but DS could eat roasted chicken breast with roasted broccoli daily so i guess i don't have to worry too much

Re: Side dish options
I make a big salad every week and it usually lasts until Thursday, depending on if I take it as lunches.
I do greens and beans a lot - either spinach, swiss chard, or collard greens sauteed with onions & garlic until wilted (can also add chicken broth) then dump in a can of cannelini beans.
I do a lot of roasted veggies - especially squash this time of year. We also eat a lot of basic steamed veggies.
I've been using cauliflower rice instead of regular and make it into fried rice.
Shishito peppers are easy to fry in oil and sea salt.
Whole grain like a farro or quiona with pesto.
Lentils made with onion, garlic, carrots, celery - this can be a main dish too if you put an egg on top. I season with different blends: Moroccan, Indian, etc.
Raw veggies with ranch dip - the kids really like this
Mash carrots, sweet potatoes, turnips, parsnips like mashed potatoes
Trader Joes has some good frozen sides - I like the mixed grain & veggie one, sweet potato gnocchi

I like it, quick and easy and different from the normal sides we usually default to.
