Came across this
I think this was posted already. I get it. I don’t take this lightly. My thing is what do I do with kids now that schools are closed. My dad has offered to watch them. Do I not take that offer and hope my job allows me to take off? I am not comfortable about taking them even to my dads even though he is ok with it. I may need to take leave without pay.

Contact your school. Our district is helping those with hardships.

This. Also check your local FB groups. West Islip has a lot of parents offering babysitting to those who have to work. Also with college kids coming home, they are offering to watch kids in your house to keep from being with too many other children at once.
I will tell you this. The virus is allowing everyone true colors to show. More than the 2016 election. People are disappointing me for sure, but so many are inspiring me. I can’t tell you th e amount of calls I’ve gotten offering to food shop and drop at my door so i don’t have to Go out and leave DH in his current medical state. Or friends posting to FB asking if any of their friends or elderly neighbors need supplies they will buy and drop for them. I’m happy to see we’ve surrounded ourselves with the right people.
