Electrician Recommendation/Outdoor Line
Good Morning,
Looking for recommendations for an electrician to install an outdoor line/outlet for an above ground pool.
I purchased an INTEX pool thinking summer is pretty much cancelled- and realized I need a separate outlet. I didn't realize the safety issue with extensions cords.
Any idea of the cost as well?

Electrician Recommendation/Outdoor Line
What's wrong with extension cords? I use an extension cord with the pump filter into an outside outlet because it's not long enough.

Fire risk-because of overload I assume? My neighbor is the fire chief. He has seen devastating situations with extension cords and pools. Wondering if most people do this? Special extension cords?

Wow. Never really thought about it.
It's highly recommended never to use an extension cord to power a pump of an above ground swimming pool. A pool pump requires a great deal of power and that you can't provide with a normal extension cord. You'd need one with a #12-gauge wire or a #10-gauge wire
