Nasty feet- help!

My feet are gross. Desperate need of a pedicure which isn't happening any time soon. Sooooo, ehat can I do for extremely rough skin and dry cracked heels? I have never had this before! Any good products?

My Baby Foot Peel arrived today. I’m a first time user. I’m so excited. Any tips of tricks?

Soak your feet first. I took a bath but you can soak them in a basin of warm water for about 15 to 20 min.
Do it when you don't have to walk around much. So like when you are settling in to watch tv or a movie.
Put a pair of socks over the plastic booties so in case you do have to get up you aren't sliding, plus it keeps the booties on better.
After 1 hour, rinse it off your feet.
They say soaking each day after helps it peel quicker and better but I've been to lazy.
It peels in about 3 to 5 days i think.
Its a bit gross when peeling but where are we going right?
Great time to do it.

I have done baby feet a bunch of times and it is nice for a bit but my feet go back to the cracked heels soon after. For me, a cream for heels works better. I use amalactin. You can get on amazon.

Vaseline. Put socks on and let soak overnight. Works every time. Generic one works the same also.

I've always been intrigued by this. Do your feet peel a lot in the days after treatment? I just picture shedding messy dead skin bits everywhere and in the bed. I guess you could just wear socks the whole time, but I hate wearing socks when the weather warms up. Does the soft skin last long before it starts getting rough and gross again?

I guess it depends on how bad your feet are and how much dead skin you have to "shed".
I didn't notice it was that bad....it peeled kind of like a sunburn would.
I didn't notice it on my sheets. There were days that I was like, I shouldn't wear sandals to work today because it's a little gross....but nothing insane.

For me it lasted a few months.
I tried to keep up with the moisturizing daily once the new skin was all in.

I have that roller thing that is electric and it buffs the dead skin off. The name is escaping me! I do that and then put healthy feet lotion on (from Harmon)

OMG I bought this last year, but it was summer and I didn't want peeling feet while it was 90 degrees. I put it somewhere and now I have no clue where it is Chat Icon

I use Flexitol heel balm every day when I get out of the shower. It’s at any pharmacy in the foot care section. I’m a runner and that, along with regular pumicing in the shower, keeps my feet really soft.

This thread made me remember to check my feet. I did the foot peel on Thursday night. Peeling like crazy! It's oddly satisfying. Chat Icon

soak your feet in vinegar any will work, I use the cider. 5% acid is enough to help scrub and peel away dead dry skin. Some people keep on a cloth taped over night I just soak for about 10 min then use a file to take off the dead skin, add some lotion after or not, soft as a babies buttocks

adding no need to fill up the basin just enough to dip the bottom of your feet

I have a hand held pumice stick in shower that i use on my heels. Then, I use vaseline or sometimes, if I have it, Aquafor and cover with socks overnight. Softens them right up.

straight no water. I pour a little in a basin enough just to get my toes, heel and ball of the foot wet.

adding, this time I used white vinegar and it worked the same.

This totally works....

Aquaphor all over cracked/rough spots

Wrap with Saran Wrap

Put on cotton socks overnight

Repeat next day and again whenever necessary.

My podiatrist said never use the peels, they are filled with chemicals that will eventually make the condition worse. You will peel, but you will have drier feet eventually.

I never tried it myself though.
