Long island drops down to 4/7

We lost the 30% threshold for hospital beds, we also went down to day 1 of decrease in hospitalizations, yesterday we were at day 11. NYC is actually closer to meeting some metrics than we are, like the under 2 for every 100,000 people hospital admissions. So unbelivebely depressing.

Yesterday we were at 30% threshold for hospital beds and we had a check for the metric and were at 5/7.

Today we are at 30% threshold for hospital beds, we don’t have a check, and we are at 4/7.

I took a screenshot of the metric dashboard yesterday to compare, so I can clearly see that yesterday and today the percentage was 30%. Yesterday we were given credit for the metric, and today we are not.

What the heck?!

We are at Day 1 for hospital DEATHS, not hospitalizations. Yesterday we were only at Day 3 for this.

We are well beyond the 14 days for a decrease in hospitalizations.

Also, is it really one death that sets the entire region back to Day 1 of that metric?

Ever play like an obstacle course game or a game at field day as a kid where if you dropped something or messed up you had to go ALL the way back to the beginning?
Yeah, that's us....

I just remember someone saying something about 11 days, I am so confused at this point. Chat Icon
Honestly, I am just as focused on NYC's numbers as I am on ours. I think the whole downstate region, including Westchester & Rockland, will end up having to open within a couple of weeks of each other. For a very over populated city, with a big homeless problem, mass transit, and the catastrophic amount of cases they have had, NYC seems to be doing pretty decent in the metrics.

Yup. NYC is at 4/7 as well but slightly closer to meeting some metrics than LI today.

This is going to drive the people paying attention to the reopening absolutely INSANE. Imagine the frustration of being at Day 13 and then getting reset back to PHASE FREAKING ONE?!

Jesus Christ.

Probably a display or routing error. I'd hope that the fact that the graphic isnt green would take away from the real number.

Thanks..I saw that after I posted.

I'm still not sure what a 3 day rolling average means though Chat Icon

My hospital is seeing an increase in hospitalizations not significant enough though I believe to throw off the metric but we haven’t extubated many people nor discharged many. Overall our numbers were on a downward trend but we do see spikes pretty regularly in admissions in deaths

Long island drops down to 4/7

Yesterday my area was at a 6/7. We are now 5/7 due to an increase in hospital admissions and deaths. Our sample size is much smaller so 1 death put us over our 14 day decline. This is very frustrating.
