i hate people

i am so heartbroken, this morning.

we've been having serious issues with our janitorial vendor since i started working here. my first complaint was september 30 (yes, i remember the date).

since then, it's been a cluster. my boss and i gave them a few chances. now, we've officially begun the process to end our contract with them. it's a lengthy process... and of course, we haven't told them... god only knows how much worse the service will be if they got wind of it.

so... on friday, i came into the office to find the place a pig pen. i was also informed that the janitorial night crew just isn't showing up. so i complained. a new guy came into the office to announce how he was fixing everything.

sunday, i came into the office to find everything still looked the same as friday. i complained again.

yesterday, a TEAM of managers from the vendor came to inform my boss that they have it under control.

this morning, the ONLY person from the janitorial company was "taken" from our station and reassigned. she was told that she was being reassigned because the manager didn't like my complaint and he knows that she and i work well as a team. he did it to spite me.

so, she quit.

she was planning to quit/retire at the end of the month, but this move made her decide to do it now.

she waited for me in the parking lot and told me. we both shed a few tears.

what an fukker!!!

i knew she was on her way out and i was planning to take her to lunch next week to celebrate her retirement.

i pray that the contract cancellation is far enough that it won't take much longer. i never want to see that man again.

I don't understand how people stay in business like that.
