Cape May Hotels
Has anyone stayed at Beach Shack or Congress Hall? If so, is it worth the $550 a night they cost? Or are there better places? Is there stuff to do in that area other than the beach and the Cape May Zoo? Or is it pretty much the beach? I'm torn on spending this amount of money for JUST a beach when we can just go to Sailor's Haven on Fire Island for a desolate beach experience.
We were going to stay in Wildwood at a Morey's resort for the Stay and Play package (we have done that twice before and like it there), but I'm pretty sure when the rules come out, they will require masks in the amusement park, and walking around in a mask there in the heat would be pretty uncomfy.

Re: Cape May Hotels
Icona Cape May. Much smaller but so well done. Stunning, great service and so clean. Brand new and very very well done.
We really just do beach and pool and walk around town, the mall area, shops. Mini golf, get ice cream. There is a winery and a lighthouse. And trolley tours of the historic homes and ghost tours. Also if you stay at Icona you get free shuttle service to anywhere you want to go including their sister resort in Diamond Beach which has a private beach, beach bar and larger pool and restaurant. You are allowed to use their facilities as well.
Another one that I haven't stayed at but looks very nice and modern is the Ocean Club- a few doors down from Icona. More full service with a larger pool, pool bar etc.
I just like the quiet, small, quiet vibe of Icona though. It's tiny.
