Rhode Island recommendations
If anyone has any recommendations for 2 adult travelers visiting Rhode Island for Labor Day weekend: food, scenery, museums, etc., anything you loved or hated and want to share, I would really appreciate your input!

Rhode Island recommendations
We stayed in Newport at Gurneys. Loved it. Did the cliff walk. Went to Newport Craft Brewery. Ate at Gurneys on the patio at sunset. Went inside the Breakers Mansion. We did Rail Explorers rail bike tour at sunset (amazing views) We went early June..make sure they aren't on the NY quarantine list. I thought I heard they are now. A lot wasn't opened when we went, but we still had a nice time. It was low key and our first travel adventure out of quarantine and loved it.

We went in late June to Newport & it was really nice. We toured 2 mansions, The Elms & The breakers. You have to make reservations ahead of time online. We also walked the Cliff Walk, which was nice but hot! We had dinner at The Mooring Seafood Kitchen and Bar. Everything we ordered was delicious & the view was so nice. We stayed at the Hotel Viking which we loved!

Rhode Island recommendations
We went a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. We stayed at the coolest airbnb near everything. It was so nice and spacious inside (it use to be a telephone company), pool table, foosball, another game table that I cannot remember the name of now, great kitchen, etc.. We had cocktails at the rooftop bar in the Vanderbilt hotel and almost at the Viking but could not get in because it was too busy. We ate at the historic White Horse tavern, enjoyed the Cliff walk, checked out the local beaches, hung out at the pier, had the best ice cream at Kilwin's (I loved the cone!) and toured one of the mansions. BUT there is one thing I wished we had done -rented a scooter car and driven down Ocean Drive. Ocean drive was very nice but driving down in a tiny scooter car looked very fun.

They were only on for a week - they were removed last Tuesday and it looks like they aren’t going to be added back this week.
