Rash and mask
DS has always had the most sensitive skin. He is starting to get a pimply rash on his cheeks (only 8, and no signs of puberty). I know it is the mask. He wears a soft, cotton one. Any recommendations for creams to put on or different masks? It only started in the past week, when he returned to school, so I know it is the mask.

Re: Rash and mask
Does he wash his face daily? My daughter was getting small pimples on her nose this summer - heat, sweat, sunscreen. It got a lot better with washing at night with cetaphil gentle cleanser.

Re: Rash and mask
Are you washing his mask daily? He should be wearing more than one. Or use a disposable plus a cotton mask.

Rash and mask
Use the disposables, the cotton ones are less breathable. Change the mask often and wash face daily. My skin was so bad when I had to wear the N95 and surgical my entire shift but with only an N95 now required dependent on the patient my skin is much better just wearing the surgical

Re: Rash and mask
It's common when wearing the mask for long periods of time. In the morning before school put a light coating of aquaphora on his cheeks.
