Quick overnight getaway?
DH and I have an opportunity for an overnight getaway this weekend. Any suggestions? He doesn't want to leave the state because he is afraid something will change and we will have to quarantine. So something driving distance in NY with hiking or outdoor activities or just day drinking is cool too.  We called Mohonk but they want $1500 for the night and I'm not doing that this close to the holidays.

Quick overnight getaway?
We are actually going to Mohonk this weekend and using a day pass and having brunch. It's much cheaper than spending the night. We are staying at a different Hotel

We like the Finger Lakes. It’s around a 4 1/2 hour drive from us in central Nassau. We’ve stayed at a few different places. We like the Gould Hotel, a small boutique hotel in Seneca Falls which is a cute little town. Also have stayed at Belhurst Castle which has a spa and a few restaurants, and wine tasting. Lots of great wineries in the area.

Quick overnight getaway?
Crystal Springs in NJ is great. Even though it's in another state, it isn't far and he's been pretty clear that you don't have to quarantine from NJ or CT.

Quick overnight getaway?
We spent the weekend at Park Lane in nyc 2 weekends ago. It really was refreshing. Its right across from central park so we went running everyday and ate at some delicious restaurants in the immediate area.

I know its CT but I don't think that you will have to quarantine.

That does sound really nice. I don't know that DH will go into the city this weekend with all this election BS still going on.

Quick overnight getaway?
Catskills is nice. An airbnb or an inn. Or even Greenport. They have American Beech there and other places to stay. Restaurants, bookstore, coffeeshop, etc

If you are looking to stay in NY, I was also going to recommend Greenport. We stay at the Harbor Front Inn. It is right on the water and is right in town. You can go to the vineyards during the day.

Yes! Absolutely amazing. We stayed in the waterfront standard room, it was so gorgeous and comfortable! Overlooking the marina. They have several buildings you can choose. They even have a lighthouse you can stay at!
Indoor and outdoor pools, indoor jacuzzi and steam rooms, spa. OMG i need to go back.
We also ate at their all you can eat Sunday brunch at Salt. Gourmet, fine dining and absolutely beyond. I don't know if this is happening now bc of covid but if it is don't miss it!
