Trump's tantrum yesterday
Did anyone watch that insane speech he gave? OMG. I couldn't get through it all because I have a hard time listening to him speak but seriously, at this point everyone needs to stop giving him any attention or TV time. He's unhinged and delusional and a true danger to our democracy. I cannot believe this is the behavior of the sitting (lame duck) president. Thank God America voted him out!

Trump's tantrum yesterday
I didn't want to watch the 46 minute trainwreck of a speech, but it was unhinged as far as I've heard.

Trump's tantrum yesterday
I hope that come Jan 21 - that the media stops covering anything he says. He can spew his crazy on Fox all he wants, but I hope CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc stop covering him and his family.

So then they should stop covering every other president. He will also be known as a president no matter how much people don’t like him.

Guess you missed the huge funeral a couple years ago. I guess they should have ignored it and bit covered it also.

They do stop covering former Presidents 24/7. Except for the last few months, there has been minimal coverage of Obama. Almost nothing about Bush Jr., Clinton, and Carter. They pop up in the news every once in a while, if they have a book or a pet project, but really very little.
And yes, he will forever be known as an impeached president.

Are you honestly comparing the death of a former President to the day-to-day coverage of a former President?.....

Well of course they would cover a sitting president everyday. Why would they cover an old one? Also like a death, they will cover that.
The OP basically wants to erase him. Sounds like he might be back in 2024. We will see but I would rather have some young fresh blood.

He will be "introduced" as President Trump. He will be "known" as Impeached President Trump, since he *is* an impeached President.... (yes, and before you go into the whataboutism, Clinton's impeachment is often mentioned as well....)

Nobody in this thread said anything about erasing him... just not giving him the spotlight after Jan. 20th. We don't ever want to forget him. Forgetting him and everything he has done will just allow another wannabe Facist to come and try and take over.
I'm not sure if you can run for President if you're in prison....

Exactly. I wholeheartedly agree with you.
The fact is after Jan. 20th Trump will become just another American citizen and there will be no reason whatsoever for media outlets to give him any attention anymore, he won't matter on a day-to-day basis. I haven't heard much at all from Obama in 4 years and NEVER hear about GW or Clinton. No doubt Trump will try to keep himself relevant but he'll need to do that on his own because any media that matters will be moving on from him, most already have. That is how the cookie crumbles once you are voted out of office.
JMO but I don't believe he will be back in 2024. First, he's in a heap of legal trouble once he's out of the WH. Second, he doesn't actually want the job and never has. All he wanted 4 years ago and all he wants now is the notoriety, attention and legal protection that comes along with the office of president. He has no interest in actually working or leading. A president who actually takes the job seriously certainly would not have spent the last month having a tantrum, spreading lies, undermining our democracy, ignoring a pandemic that is crippling the nation and doing nothing except golfing and tweeting incessantly. It's honestly been ridiculous to say the least and his feeble attempts to overturn a fair election are going nowhere. Literally nowhere.
So yea, after January 20th we can all move on from Trump and not have to hear about him every single day, morning, noon and night. He won't be president, he won't matter anymore.
