My poor Rudy
Rudy got a cut under his eye and had something on his back above his butt that he kept licking and nawing at. I took him to the vet and she said the thing on his butt was called a hotspot. Its a spot that gets wet and never dries and the dog keeps licking it making it worse turning it mushy.
She had to shave the area and put a cone on his head.
I FEEL SO BAD. I actually got in the car and cried the ENTIRE way home. He looks so sad and miserable. He is just laying around now 
I guess he get his halloween costume early

Juney...I'm soo sorry, poor Rudy....try to make him feel like he looks handsome in the collar....
btw, this is going to sound somewhat silly, but try to get Rudy in the salt water this week to help the hotspot-it'll help dry it out faster and heel, I know it's getting cold, but usually they can handle the cold water better than we can, or maybe just sea salts in the bathtub, and he can kinda soak.....

Poor Rudy - this happens often to my sister's Golden. He will be just fine. Maybe a little uncomfortable for a few days but then back to his old self.

Poor Rudy - you might want to buy a bottle of bitter apple and if he starts on another hot spot, spray it. It worked for Misty on her hip, and I used to use it on my Dobie (he would lick his paws until they bled).

He has a satellite dish. I bet you get great reception on your tv.
