Hofstra is right. There is a HUGE difference between giving DJT the attention he's craving by his idiotic posts and EXPECTING that the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES should comment on this breach. HUGE difference. Until January (can't come soon enough) he is still the President. He owes the country something on this. BUT, he's too busy still tantruming.

Thank you. That's EXACTLY the point I was making.

... When it comes to politics, something is always terribly wrong.
The other thing, how can you believe anything the mainstream media says after they spent years lying about Russia and even lied to us about Hunter Biden?
I can believe the media when they say the current POTUS has said nothing about Russia hacking us, because He. Has. Said. Nothing. Not on his personal twitter account, not on his POTUS account, not to Fox News, not anywhere that the country can see.
From what I just saw, he will be addressing this as soon as all information is received. You do realize that Bush didn’t come out about 9/11 for a few hours after it happened so presidents don’t come out the second things happen.
Ummmmm.........it's been DAYS since this broke, time to speak up. He doesn't care because he's in bed with Putin.
So either you want him to talk or you don’t. Make up your mind as now you are talking out of both sides of your mouth....
“ Did anyone watch that insane speech he gave? OMG. I couldn't get through it all because I have a hard time listening to him speak but seriously, at this point everyone needs to stop giving him any attention or TV time. He's unhinged and delusional and a true danger to our democracy. I cannot believe this is the behavior of the sitting (lame duck) president. Thank God America voted him out!”
Whether I can stand listening to him or not is completely irrelevant. We have a national security breach in our critical government systems and it's the job of the POTUS, whether I or anyone else likes him or not, to address this issue. Are you that dim that you don't understand the threat this breach poses to our country and our safety?
As usual, your comments are idiotic, off topic, not relevant to the conversation and show a complete lack of understanding about politics.
I didn’t say this, you did so you have no reason to be upset. Shrug.
“everyone needs to stop giving him any attention or TV time.”
LMFAO Your comments are painfully stupid. Thanks for another day of entertainment.
You could have gone out shopping. Shrug.

...less..... posting.... facts.....
Right, gotcha.... now I understand how you work...
She's an idiot, everyone needs to ignore her rampant stupidity.
As for the Russian hacking it's no surprise Trump and his merry band of WH morons have said nothing. After all, we know Trump is obsessed with Putin, he probably helped them hack our government systems.
You call your family who support Trump idiots?
I'm calling YOU an idiot. WTF are you even trying to say to Golden, "less posting of facts"?
Again, why do you keep posting on the politics board? You clearly know absolutely nothing about politics.
I didn't get a chance to quote what you just deleted, but I love that fact that you tried calling out Hofstra on the fact that she only started posting on the Politics board in 2017..... completely missing the fact that the Politics board was only created in 2017.....
But you keep trying, little Chihuaha, you're doing great!
I did delete it as soon as I realized that the board did just start a few years ago. Still discussions on politics which are quite funny to read from someone insisting on calling others names who don’t agree with them:
“I generally don't get involved in political discussions either BUT I will say...........I think people GROSSLY overestimate just how much power a president has as one single man AND I also feel that most people have expectations that FAR EXCEED what any one person in office can do in "X" amount of years.
I also think some presidents just happen to stumble into office at a good time, like when the economy is booming and people are feeling good about things, and when that happens it's A LOT easier to keep people happy. More often than not, as someone else mentioned, most presidents are left to clean up the messes of the previous president so with that in mind, it sure makes your job of "turning the country around" A WHOLE LOT harder.
I don't expect much from anyone who is elected into ANY office. I think most politicians are greedy, self-serving snakes and I generally don't put much stock in most of them. This country, any country, will always have problems, corruption, issues, and unhappy citizens. I don't see that ever changing. The only thing you can hope for is that those you elect do more good than bad when all is said and done. Message edited 9/11/2014 10:55:37 AM.

Re: US gets hacked... trump administration strangely quiet...
Or this:
“The thing is, whether it's politics or otherwise nobody will EVER change anyone's mind about anything. That is why even discussing certain "hot topics" is such a waste of time, people will believe what they will believe and support who they will support and NO amount of back and forth will change that. It's why I try to stay away from certain discussions on LIF and IRL, ESPECIALLY when it comes to politics. You're just spinning your wheels trying to make someone see your POV and change their mind.”

Yep I do :)
Hmmm... I work full time. Have a home, hubby, kids, friends, family. Mostly in this weekend though and as I finished all my shopping and wrapping so no need to run around doing that. Got my roots done, went food shopping, did some laundry, cooking, cleaning.
Thanks for asking. All set for the holidays so enjoying this relaxing time.

And yet, you still find plenty of time to ramble nonstop on LIF and pull up old comments that nobody cares about to try and make a point that you don't have. LMAO
Amusing as always.

Re: US gets hacked... trump administration strangely quiet...
And you're researching old comments, why? A random comment out of context means nothing and if your attempt was to show I was "mean" to someone, you chose the wrong comments. These comments didn't call out anyone, they were comments made within the context of a larger discussion. All you proved with that post was that you know how to cut and paste. Yay for you!!
I wish you realized just how stupid you come across with these kinds of nonsense posts. Don't be a childish sh!t stirrer on this board, it's wearing thin on EVERYONE. Instead, try having an adult political debate when on this forum and instead of dredging up old comments that are irrelevant, do your due diligence to provide FACTS which support the comments you make on these threads.

Re: US gets hacked... trump administration strangely quiet...
https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/20/politics/mitt-romney-chris-krebs-trump-russia-cyberattack-cnntv/index.html
Washington (CNN)Republican Sen. Mitt Romney said Sunday that President Donald Trump has a "blind spot" when it comes to dealing with Russia after the President downplayed a massive cyberattack on US federal agencies linked to the country, warning that the aggression "is a big wake-up call for us."
"The President has a blind spot when it comes to Russia, and so you can expect that that's the response that he would have," Romney told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" when asked about a tweet from Trump undercutting his secretary of state's assessment of the massive hack. ... Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had said on Friday that the attack was "a very significant effort," and directly linked it to Russia. But the following day, Trump, in his first public comments on the issue, appeared to undercut those remarks in a pair of tweets, suggesting without evidence "it may be China" that's responsible. The President also claimed "everything was under control," though administration officials said last week that the attack "poses a grave risk" to networks across both the public and private sector. Even Sen. Lindsey Graham, a close ally of Trump, said Sunday he thinks it's a "mistake" for the President to blame China for the massive cyber hack, without any evidence. ... Chris Krebs, the former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, told Tapper later in the program that federal agencies are not currently "optimized for defense" and part of the reason his former agency didn't detect the hack sooner was a bill giving them certain authorities to aggressively root out adversaries hasn't yet been signed by Trump. "There is a provision in the National Defense Authorization Act ... that's sitting on the President's desk waiting for his signature ... that would give CISA, my old agency, the authorities to go out and really aggressively hunt and look for these adversaries and that's what we're going to have to do to get certainty to the other side of this," the ex-cyber chief said. ...
So, his only public statement about the massive Russian hack is that it probably wasn't Russia, and everything was just fine. Even though every expert, including those that he appointed to the highest positions in the Country are saying the opposite.
To me, that obviously shows that the current President is OK with Russia hacking us....

Even Pompeo, a chief bootlicker, admits it was Russia.
It's amazing - our President is basically a Russian agent operating in plain sight.
I'm curious about what more will come out when he's out of office and everyone tries to save their own hides.

And his lap dog, Barr, also thinks it's Russia...
https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/21/politics/william-barr-russia-cyberattack/index.html
... "I agree with Secretary Pompeo's assessment. It certainly appears to be the Russians, but I'm not going to discuss it beyond that," Barr said at a news conference, referring to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's comments last week that "we can say pretty clearly that it was the Russians that engaged in this activity." ...
So, everyone but Putin's bff believes it was Russia. I think that's pretty telling.
What do you think he'll sell to Russia in his last month in office? How many government secrets will he sell to make Putin happy, and to help pay off his massive debt? He doesn't care about the USA, so I can imagine he would sell anything he can remember. Considering how low his IQ is, and how terrible his memory is, hopefully that won't be very much.
