your, name, date of birth, address, phone numbers and who you're related to. Only in this country can this shit be allowed. I have been going to each sit taking it down
Has anyone every paid repone.com or other site to this?

this info can be used to discriminate against being hired for a job etc

You can ask them to remove it. Mylife makes you call. It’s ********.

you can and can't... There are 35++ sites that do this, no one can hit all. On top of this, the information is out there, the site will continue to collect and post
The point is this should not be allowed. No one should have to track all these site and ask to be taken down. If I'm not a member or don't ask for it to be posted it shouldn't be allowed or legal.
It should be illegal to post.. Why Americans allow this is beyond me.

I worked in debt collection. You can find out so much more than just the above.

It's funny you post this. Just yesterday I decided to google myself and holy crap - all the info that is there !! Address, phone number, relatives names. It's nuts.

Re: personal info made public...
i am equally upset about this. ive been googling myself for years, and its like whack a mole going to each personal info site to ask them to remove. each one has different requirements. some ask you to email, some fax. it's maddening.
some info is just public domain like property you own so there's no way to get that removed as far as i know.
imagine how law enforcement feels!!!!
i've considered getting some kind of scrubbing done too but haven't followed through on it

personal info made public...
Very annoying. I had to go to each site individually and request my information be removed. I did this due to my line of work I do not want the people I have to deal with coming for me. It’s tedious but you can get it removed. There’s also a lot of incorrect info out there. For years they had my dad’s name hooked up with my address. I have no idea how that happened...

My point is we shouldn't have to do this. We shouldn't have to go from site to site and ask them to remove it. This should be illegal to post personal information. There is a way of doing it such as through repone.com for s fee. Based on the replies no one has used this or other sites

I know what you mean. I think since phone books are basically defunct, this is what they do now. Years ago you had to pay to have your name and number unlisted in the phone books. It's just so laborious to do it now because there are so many sites. Right before I moved I opened a PO box in my old town bc I did not want my info hooked up with my new address (although I know it eventually will be)
