Exactly, I agree with this entirely. They haven't given a single $hit about how Trump's insanity has been affecting the American public but now when his madness is knocking on their door all of a sudden they have morals and integrity. I agree.. I think the House should keep pursuing action and Republicans to speak out. Yes, it’s self serving and only after everything imploded but I rather have them speak up against him then say nothing or be like stupid Hawley & Cruz and continue this conspiracy farce. I hope they force Pence’s hand, I would love it if he did something. Another knife to Trump.
I also agree, Trump is such a narcissistic sociopath, that I’m sure any attention or infamy, even a terrible one is a win in his twisted mind. He’s such a freak man.
I remember when Obama became President, the saying from black people were now we know anyone can be president. I think after Trump we actually see no, WAIT, LITERALLY ANYONE can be president.

There needs to be something in place that allows us to remove a president swiftly. I don’t think he will but he can do a lot more damage in 12 days.
How about if Biden became senile at the very end of his term, because he’s still breathing and can usher a sentence saying he is competent, we just have to deal with it because there isn’t time? And no I don’t think that would happen, but there needs to be something that allows the people to remove a president quickly if they are not of sound mental capacity.
Obviously, I’m not a lawyer but it would have to be airtight so it also doesn’t open up Pandora’s box allowing for senate or the house to get rid of someone just because they feel like it.

If Pence and his cabinet weren't a bunch of gutless idiots, the 25th amendment could be invoked and he would be out of the WH in as little as 12 hours. It's a fast process for good reason unlike impeachment. But I am sure Pence is hiding in a room so Trump cannot find him.

I totally agree with you and that's what the 25th amendment is for but cabinet members have resigned and Pence won't push it through.

I'm concerned.
This is probably optimistic, but I am hoping there are maybe a couple of people around him who hung around with good intentions - to put a muzzle on him during a time like this - who can talk him down from doing crazy stuff in the next twelve days.
What will he direct our military to do? What about those nuclear codes? Executive powers?
The patriotic thing to do at this point is probably to drug him. He's too unhinged to be allowed the true powers of the presidency

Nothing can be done with the limited time left in Trump's term. It's basically firing a disgruntled employee but you can't escort him out immediately and send him his personal belongings. Instead, you gave notice because you're hands are tied and you just hope he doesn't f@#$ anything up on his way out. In this case we're beyond that.
I understand all that. But think about how scary this is. He basically started an attack on the White House, has access to Nuclear weapons, authority & power over these lunatics and yet we can’t get him out because there’s not enough time. Sorry that’s not safe nor good enough. We aren’t talking about strategic business information from a company he may steal, this a president of a country. He’s not just any employee. There needs to be something in place that allows us to remove a president swiftly. I don’t think he will but he can do a lot more damage in 12 days.
How about if Biden became senile at the very end of his term, because he’s still breathing and can usher a sentence saying he is competent, we just have to deal with it because there isn’t time? And no I don’t think that would happen, but there needs to be something that allows the people to remove a president quickly if they are not of sound mental capacity.
Obviously, I’m not a lawyer but it would have to be airtight so it also doesn’t open up Pandora’s box allowing for senate or the house to get rid of someone just because they feel like it.

This is probably optimistic, but I am hoping there are maybe a couple of people around him who hung around with good intentions - to put a muzzle on him during a time like this - who can talk him down from doing crazy stuff in the next twelve days.
What will he direct our military to do? What about those nuclear codes? Executive powers?
The patriotic thing to do at this point is probably to drug him. He's too unhinged to be allowed the true powers of the presidency
He looked drugged up giving that speech of lies last night, they should keep giving him that stuff. LOL Maybe some sleeping pills ground up on his daily Big Mac.
But seriously, it is scary that he will have the power of the presidency for another 12 days. It is SO dangerous.

Btw.. Dhs coworker/ friend who went to DC said that he was marching towards the capitol and had a WTF, like why am I doing this, this isn’t right and left. He did admit that people with horns were amping everyone up and he also got caught up. But that some were saying this isn’t why we are here and dont break in but obviously not enough people.
My DH said he told him “well Atleast you didn’t do one stupid thing yesterday. Maybe stop being a follower”.

Which is why two of the slimiest cabinet members are the ones who jumped ship.
If they actually had an iota of courage they'd hang around for twelve days and rally their colleagues to hold the vote.

Someone in CNN did say that his cabinet would have to hide it if they were part of invoking the 25th amendment because then he could just fire them. Let them all go. So it pushes the senate to try to get him out.
I don’t think it’s going to happen though. I think they will just spend the next 12 days trying to accomplish this but nothing will come of it. I do understand why it may be worse if we try to push him out but then on the flip side, It’s amazing that our only option as a country is to have a crazy man as the commander in chief because there is limited time left on his term.

I can see this being a bigger deal if they did this weeks or months ago. I am sure they were transitioning their positions already with only 2 weeks left.

They should have stuck around and pushed to invoke the 25th, NOTHING about their actions since Wednesday are even remotely noble. They are all garbage and looking to save their own a$$ in the the final moments of this nightmare administration.
