First-world problems

This is usually a nice, light topic that gets brought up every once in a while.

My latest first world problem was I had to upload the software in a lot of my light switches, then reboot all of the light switches.

I've installed the switches over several months, so I apparently didn't put them all on the same network. To put them all on the same wifi network, I had to walk around to each switch, press the button to put it into config mode, and update it.

How do you explain to your family that you are walking around the house staring at light switches because you have to upload the software on them.... Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: First-world problems

My chicken gyro that I just ate for lunch didn't have a lot of flavor.

Also, the Starbucks near my job was "sold out" of my usual, so I had to go to DD.

I wonder what minor snag will occur with my dinner.

I purchased a sofa on Memorial day , that *might* come by Christmas, if we're lucky.

ETA- I just realized that if this doesn't arrive in
the first half of the delivery range, it is going to cause delivery problems with Christmas tree placement.

Re: First-world problems

i ordered a display case for work.
i ordered it before the new fiscal year because we won't be using that vendor any more. i was told it wouldn't arrive until mid-July. it arrived today.

99% of our maintenance crew is out, today. now i have this big display case and nowhere to put it.

My son managed to get dirt on practically every inch of his baseball pants this weekend (they are white).

What? Are they growing the tress for the wood framing in it from seeds and hand sewing the fabric as we speak?
What on earth?

Look at the date of your reply! 2002! You must be able to time travel... ugh but that would put me back in high school! No thank you!

I have. I use that along with Eco-Cover. I got most of the new dirt out but a couple of weeks ago he played on claylike dirt and it won't come out.

ETA - My new first world problem is that all the new posts are on the last page lol.

Apparently, there is a foam shortage,
a polyester shortage and a struck driver shortage.
I heard the same thing from a few different stores.
There is also an international shipping issue, but my couch is being made in NC.

furniture delays

My new 1st world problem is that I ordered pizza online, and requested spinach, but when I went there to pick it up, they said the order was for tomatoes ( which my husband hates, and I'm not crazy about on pizza). They showed me how the ticket came in for them, and of course I didn't have my phone with me to show them that my receipt said spinach! I'm still mad--three hours later.
