Or not responding at all and you have to chase after them. I HATE doing it and people who don't respond anymore don't get invited anymore by me. Then I always get the "where was my invite". Really? How hard is it to respond, even if it is maybe.
The FB invites show when people see your invite too so you know they clicked on it and read it.

I'm waiting on an entire family of people to respond! And i ain't chasing them!!
I won't chase after people anymore. I hate that people wait to see what else comes along. When I get an invite I either say yes or no. I don't wait to see if something better comes along. It is rude and shows you what type of person they really are.

I have noticed lately (particularly on Facebook) that most of the world has forgotten the word "HAVE". Every post is "could of", or "should of" etc. No one seems to remember it's "could've" or "should've". All the to/too and their/there mix-ups are bad enough, but the "of" one really drives me crazy.
That drives me crazy too but I wonder if it's voice to text.
I use it often and with my hard LI accent "have" always becomes "of" and I cringe and change it.
Sometimes people don't look and edit before they send. If I am in a rush I don't either although I'd be mortified if that mistake went through lol.
I usually see it on Facebook, not texts, so not sure if that would be the reason. If it was on a text, I would assume it was because of voice texting, but I see it all day every day on FB, and it's so annoying lol

Any new pet peeves to rant about?
People who can't stay in their lane when they make a turn. At 2 places on my way to work there are double turning lanes, at least a few times a week the person waiting in the lane next to me to turn winds up in my lane bc they turn so wide. I am so cautious bc I have been nearly side swiped several times.

I'll go first...
My brother's newest thing is to have me on speaker phone at all times but doesn't tell me. So the other day I shared a story with him in front of his whole family while I did not know. Rude and inconsiderate.
Today, I needed to speak with him about something for his wife and the sh!t for brains didn't mention I was on speaker so there went the surprise! I wrapped up the call by calling him a d!ck.
Is it me or do you have a mandatory obligation to inform a caller they are on speaker and have a whole audience? My uncle does it too and it's so friggan annoying!
that's very RUDE, I also tell someone when I have them on speaker

When people don’t return the damnnnn carts to the cart return when they are 3 feet away or less??!!! How lazy can you be??!!! Personally I don’t see the big deal returning it to the proper spot no matter how far away it is but when a cart is left out and it’s so close to the cart return it irks me to no point lol
Also hate when a parking lot doesn’t have a cart return??? I want to know who tonight that’s a good idea!!

Haha. You would hate Australia then. So many words with the -y sound as slang there: Choccy (chocolate, Barbie (BBQ), Brolly (umbrella), Biccy (biscuit, which is cookie), Chrissie (Xmas), Esky (cooler), Lollies (candy), Mozzie (mosquito), and the list goes on. It’s like talking to children. It drove me crazy.

ITA I actually was coming on to write about this exact peeve!
Also, if they aren't going to return it, at least put it in the space, straddling the 2 white so 2 cars can fit there, not in the middle of the whole parking spot!

Not really new but on going, flimsy paper bags at the supermarket. Who makes those things and why are they not made of stronger material and with handles. And i know, double bag but isn't that a waste?!
It's your punishment for not bringing your own bag.....I hate shopping in NY.

Mine is that I'm growing tired of seeing debates about Covid, masks and vaccines everywhere online. It's getting old. No one is changing anyone else's mind. It has made something that is supposed to be a "fun" outlet from life (scrolling the web and chat forums) to be extremely annoying.

100% agree. It is exhausting. Don't worry though, in about a year Covid talk will turn into talking about the next Presidential election. That should be fun! Not!
