They should change their name then? Lol! I like the sticky things they have for the windows during the holidays.

Hopefully they will keep the things that are $1 now the same and then just bring in some higher quality things that will be more.

Do you have any half off stores near you? I either go to the $1 store or there as I don't pay more than $1 or 2 and have gotten some really nice cards/

Even $2 is too much to spend on a card in my opinion. 50 cents to a dollar is just right. I'm not a card person but I know they are necessary in some instances. Hopefully dollar tree doesn't change their prices on them.

I get that and dollar tree has some really nice ones too so it is not like you are getting something junky.

Same. I throw 99% of them away so it is such a waste.

Re: Dollar tree

DW and I used to go to the card store together, look through the rack of cards, and any that we thought were cute, romantic, funny, etc, we should show the other person. Then we would put it back.

We would "give" each other 5 or 10 cards per holiday, look at them for the same amount of time as if they were purchased and given to us, but never spent any money... Chat Icon Chat Icon

We usually just say you are not getting me anything, right? lol. I did just recently give my hubby a card and threw in some scratch offs since we probably won't do anything else. He got me 2 dozen roses for my bday but they were less than $20 (LOVE big box stores lol).

It is sooo not worth it to spend so much on cards to just throw them away. I only have some special cards from years and all my wedding cards. The rest get dumped after a week.

Based "on positive customer reaction" to its Dollar Tree Plus stores – where products at higher price points have been tested – the company said Tuesday it plans to have 500 Dollar Tree Plus stores by the end of 2021 and another 1,500 next year. At least 5,000 Dollar Tree Plus stores are expected by the end of 2024

I didn’t know that they were going to do away with this. I love dollar tree. I don’t get most of my cards from there though because I’m a big cards person and I save all of my cards. I usually get my cards at Walgreens or even Amazon. I do love dollar tree for holiday decorations. Plus you can’t beat them for ovulation and pregnancy tests.
