William Shatner is officially an astronaut now.
10 minute ride from launch pad to landing. He officially crossed the Kármán Line, which is 62 miles or 100 kilometers above Earth.

Nope:
Mr. Shatner, who played Captain Kirk on the original “Star Trek” series, and Audrey Powers, Blue Origin's vice president of mission and flight operations, didn't pay for their tickets, with the company having described them as guests on the flight.

Mr. Shatner, who played Captain Kirk on the original “Star Trek” series, and Audrey Powers, Blue Origin's vice president of mission and flight operations, didn't pay for their tickets, with the company having described them as guests on the flight.
Of course he wouldn't have to pay, having him on the flight is good PR for Bezo's space program.

I thought it was sweet how overcome with emotion he was when he landed. I can't imagine having your whole life surrounding a role like his and then getting to go up at 90 years old.

On one hand I am actually happy of all the people to go to space, he was given the opportunity. On the other hand the money could be so much better spent helping the environment.
