School travel quarantine rules
Do your schools still have travel quarantine rules? I was looking into booking a short trip and was told some districts in my area have travel quarantines again (other than CDC guidance)... I can't find anything online so I was curious.

Yes - supposedly since schools are following CDC guidelines - many schools are adopting the CDC travel recommendations for unvaccinated individuals - you need to test before travel and 3-5 days after travel. You have to isolate for 7 days regardless of the post travel test.
ETA - my school district hasn't communicated this but two of our neighboring districts have policies it seems (also just found out by word of mouth when someone booked a trip).

Wait so according to this so called CDC guideline, when I went to PA and the Jersey shore this summer I was supposed to isolate for 7 days after I got home and test etc?
SHIT, never got that memo!

The top of it says that it's from 10/4/21 so I'm not sure what it said before - but we returned from South Carolina the night before the first day of school...

There is a question on our daily questionnaire about international travel so I assume we need to quarantine after international travel if they are not vaccinated.

We have no travel restrictions for domestic travel that I’m aware of.
My district follows the NYS DOH guidelines so as long as NYS doesn’t require it neither does the school.

That is literally insane. We are one country.
What makes traveling to NJ any different than traveling ro my local Target?
Or going to NYC for the weekend.
Who comes up with this utter bull shit??

Well that’s just ridiculous. In that case, I guess we are just not doing anything then. Because there have been no travel quarantines since April.

I reached out to a friend who just went to Jamaica and she told the school they were going away and they said have a good trip lol so I guess we do not have a travel policy.
