UBS Arena ...has anyone been since it opened?
I heard some reviews from when it first opened and the first hockey game. I was wondering if anyone had some first hand experience with driving in and parking?

I will be going to our first hockey game this Sunday. My friend gave me her parking as well. It is in the South lot. I hear parking is a nightmare.

I have heard parking is awful. It might not be a bad idea to catch the bus along Hempstead Turnpike if you can park somewhere and take that.

Yes my husband just took our daughter to an Islanders game there last week. He had to park in a lot far away. He's going to another game Monday and he had purchased some ticket for the "closer parking" on a ticket resell site like stubhub or something like that.

Yes, we went to a game there when the Isles played Chicago a week ago. We had silver parking and it was great. Super easy and a lot of fun.

UBS Arena ...has anyone been since it opened?
I am trying to figure out if my kids need a negative test before going to the game on Sunday. The site says 12 and up need to be vaccinated or have a negative test. It doesn't say anything about under 12. Does anyone know?

I had read that they needed a test as well BUT, I would call - with all of the rules changing - they may be mandating that everyone 12+ be vaccinated (and kids 5-11 have at least one dose).

Yes, went to see Genesis Fri night. There are several parking lots, they had shuttle busses but its an 8 minute walk give or take so we walked.
What pi$$ed us off was it cost $45 to park in advance, $50 day of! What a ripoff.
We won't be back.
But the acoustics are incredible.
They asked for vax cards or proof of negative test to enter and photo ID
eta: leaving was definitely a nightmare. Much worse than leaving a show at Jones

My sister has season tickets and has taken my nephew and my daughter with no test required.

Re: Updated with my review,UBS Arena ...has anyone been since it opened?
So, I wanted to update with my experience.
I was dreading the parking and traffic but it was a breeze! I prepaid for parking and it was easy to get to and park. They had plenty of attendants out to scan when you got to your lot (I parked in Sliver). Traffic there and back was no trouble. The police have it set up so well. They block off lanes on the CIP entrance and Hempstead turnpike so that you can just exit and have plenty of time to merge.
They were checking for vaccine cards and have an on sight testing tent.

We went yesterday as well, and parked in the South lot. It wasnt bad, however, it was a Sunday afternoon, so I think that helped. They checked mine and my husbands cards, but didnt even ask for my kids negative test?
