Re: Winter resort
I like Kalahari because it has something for all ages- even the adults in my group enjoy it.
They have a very nice younger kids area with small slides, a mini lazy river and a nice shallow splash area That would be my choice for sure

I haven’t done Great Wolf but for indoor water parks - Kalahari blows Camelback away.

Great Wolf is the best for those ages. We have been to all 3 and that one has the most activities for kids. Story time, magiquest, kids club activities etc.

Camelback does. But you have to drive to it even if you are staying there so you could stay at one of the other places and tube at Camelback.

Thank you! Is it better to stay offsite at a cheaper hotel and plan things to do in the area?

Rocking Horse Ranch does, and is another great option. My kids love it there!
We just came home from Hope Lake Lodge upstate. They also have snowtubing (skiing also) and a very small waterpark. It was $900 a night for Camelback this week, and it was less than $300 a night at Hope Lake Lodge, so that's where we ended up and enjoyed ourselves since our focus was skiing and snowtubing.
