I can only answer the first question and the last question - first was because he was her son's friend. Last was because his parents didn't want him to get it so his friend's mom got it and gave it to him (not sure about those details and it's definitely not right).

This was what I was going to say the fact she is a teacher has absolutely nothing to do it except that it shows she is not a dr.
I can’t stand that they keep saying a teacher making it sound like it was her student and she did it while in class or even at her home as her student

Yes - I had thought I read somewhere it was her son's friend and wanted to confirm before posting but most articles omit that part and just say she's a teacher.

Honestly, I don't care if she's a teacher or not. But as a teacher- she should know better on how to address kids' requests vs parents rules.
I wouldn't give my kid's friend OTC medication w/o parent's permission.
Also, she is not trained on how to administer the vax. What if it was administered wrong? What if the kid had an adverse reaction. I would be livid if this happened to my kid.
Where did she get the vax? A healthcare facility let her walk out with it? Did they show her how to administer it?
So if the kid asked to try alcohol - she would let him have it?

what i want to know is- where and how did she get a dose of the vaccine?
She had to have stolen it.
A fake vax card is a felony.
What is the penalty for stealing a vaccine dose?
And then ADMINISTERING that dose to a minor?
Also- J&J isn't approved for anyone under 18 and this kid was 17.
OMG this woman better go to jail.

This whole story is so nuts. There MUST be more to it. People are definitely insane right now but this is next level. Like a PP said, I wouldn't give my kids' friends a Tylenol without getting the OK from a parent.

There is video of it but I guess no way to know if it was real
However she DID get arrested so I can't imagine it being a prank

I agree I would love to know where the hell she got it from!! How does one just get an extra vaccine and whoever gave it to them is certainly going to probably in trouble too!! So I do agree all of this is wrong and I am dumbfounded also.
I was just pointing out how the media is making it seem it with their headlines that it was in a classroom given to some young kid. Granted everyone can interpret the headlines as they want and can choose to read the articles like I do but we all know not everyone does that.
