Harmony Montgomery
Anyone else following this story? This little girl is unaccounted for since 2019! Her parents both claim they haven't seen her. Dad and stepmom have been arrested but she has not been found.

This story is beyond horrible. I can't see how even the mom is coming out now after not talking to her for 2 years.
I hope they are able to find closure but I am not too optimistic that they will find Harmony alive at this point.

I am not hopeful either. Sad that her younger brother was adopted out and they offered to take her too, but somehow it never happened and now she is unaccounted for. I saw on the news that they are in the process of thawing out the yard in the back to search the ground for remains.

Apparently Harmony spent quite a bit of time on foster care due to the mother's drug use until she was placed with her bio dad. No one realized she was missing until thr adoptive father of the younger half sibling reached out to the mother about Christmas gifts for Harmony from the younger brother. The mother was not in regular contact with Harmony. The stepmother was arrested for collecting foodstamps for Harmony. She is separated from the dad who was most recently found to be homeless and living in his car with his new girlfriend. Both report the child went to live with her mother in 2019 but the stories don't add up. Dad says the mother picked the child up from them in 2019 and I believe the stepmother said that the dad drove her to the mother's house. I think the mother lived in another state but I'm not 100% accurate on that...

Children can't be adopted when there is a parent who is able and willing to care for them. My guess is this dad was able to play it cool with the judge/CPS until the court case was over. The whole thing is very sad...
