I know this has been asked a million times, but was looking for more updated opinions
So I was looking to go away for a few nights during Feb break for my son who is 7, my boyfriend and myself
Has to be drivable (not longer than 4 hours) Covid safe (I am a worry wart) Maybe sledding, tubing etc Def a pool Gameroom And tons of activities
Thanks again

Re: Feb break
What about renting a house/cabin in the the Poconos? May of them are close where you can do those winter activities.

Re: Feb break
I have never been but rocking horse ranch? Woodloch meets all of that too. I don’t know what you mean by covid safe but anything with a lot of activities that are indoors with a bunch of strangers won’t be COVID safe.

I have not. My friend went a couple of years ago for Presidents Weekend and had fun. I've looked into it and I think the main issue is that it's dated - DH used to go as a kid and has fond memories though.

That is why I recommended renting a house.

I went to Villa Roma a few years ago so maybe it's changed but it was dated and almost all the activities were extra $$$$.
Take a look at Riding Hy Ranch - one of my favorite places to visit in the winter and Mohonk Mountain House.

Re: Feb break
If you want something that keeps your chance of exposure way down, rent a private house near somewhere like Camelback where you can go tubing.
If you’re looking for a pool, you’d have to stay at a hotel or resort with an indoor pool. If you’re nervous already, I wouldn’t consider that kind of situation “Covid safe”.

Re: Feb break
Thank you-
I will check these places out
As far as Covid safe, i meant as far as being clean (tables, rooms, pool areas etc) masks etc

Re: Feb break
Rocking Horse Ranch has all of that. It's great there, we go almost every winter. It's like a cruise on land. So many activities and everything is included. We usually do 2 nights, and maximize our time there by getting there early on check in day, and staying until before dinner on check out day. February break is really expensive though (expensive no matter where you go around here).
Crystal Springs Resort is another option. Expensive also though. Probably more than Rocking Horse ranch by the time you factor in the activity prices, food, etc..
Mohonk is nice. Lots of activities (no TVS though)
Lake George has a lot of winter activities and an ice carnival.
I know someone who went to Villa Roma and said it was gross. I looked into it and it definitely looks like it needs a refurb

We went to Villa Roma in Feb, 2019 - it's decent. Nothing fancy at all- compared to Woodloch or those types of places. That being said, it was much cheaper. It's dated, but it was clean. We had a huge suite with two bedrooms, living room and mini kitchen. They had activities, a game room, indoor pool, bouncy houses indoors, bingo & a show (this was before Covid, so not sure what the protocols are there now). My DD got a free ski lesson, we had free tubing and breakfast & dinner were included. If you're looking for fancy and luxury- this isn't the plac for you LOL. But, we enjoyed ourselves.
