Bringing Snacks to Citi-Field
Hi. We're going to a Mets game this weekend. According to the Mets website, we can bring one factory-sealed bottle of water per person. But, it doesn't say if we can or cannot bring in food. I'd like to bring Cracker Jacks and some other snacks to avoid paying the extra markup at the stadium. Does anyone know what the rules are there? Thanks!

Re: Bringing Snacks to Citi-Field
I know it sounds gross but I have gotten all types of snacks in my bag by just putting (unopened of course) pads and tampons on top of everything. Most checking your bags are men and they have no interest in moving them around to see if there is anything below.

I think it's only gross if they are used.

I saw a hack somewhere once that said if you want to make sure your stuff doesn't get stolen at the beach while you are away from your blanket in the water, etc- to bring some diapers, wrap your valuables in a clean diaper, but roll it up and put it in one of those diaper disposal bags so it looks like a dirty diaper. Nobody will touch it.

Bringing Snacks to Citi-Field
I brought pre-packaged snacks in last summer and no one said anything.
