Does your H/BF/SO take more money than you do?

Yep! He has a bank roll in his wallet at all times. However that doesn't mean he spends more than me.... I can rack up the online shopping way quicker than him. I just don't deal in cash! LOL
But he is the one who carries the cash- so if I need cash, I go in his wallet. Out to dinner on the weekends, he is putting down the tip money. He definitely goes to the ATM more. He is one of those people who likes to have cash even though he really uses cards for the most part.

I feel like we are the only ones who have a set amount per week. Again, I feel poor and there is really no extra money and right now it is VERY tight so I haven't been taking any spending money.

My DH takes 60.00 for the week to use on lunch, coffee things like that. I don’t take any money out of the ATM really… I have the debit card. The only time i really take cash out is if we go out to eat because I like to leave the tip in cash.

I find the use of cash so odd. My husband always wants to have cash but I would rather pay by credit card and get the points/miles. We are usually able to get airfare for one trip a year just by using amex points.

We don't travel enough to bother with points. I like cash better as we used to just leave the money in the checking account and use our debit cards. You can easily go over though that way and the cash is so much better for us.

I agree. I only use cash when absolutely necessary. We don’t do airline point, but we do cash back. I see no benefit to using cash.
As for DH’s spending money, $0. He literally only spends money on necessities. It can be frustrating.

My husband is the spender. I can hold on to my money week after week and not spend it

DH always has cash in his wallet. Probably a bank roll since most of our business is off the books

We both spend very little.
My DH’s family was very conservative with money when he was young and this mindset was passed down to him.
My parents lived paycheck to paycheck. They had little to no savings. My mom frequently spent more than we had which caused many issues. This in turn made me very conservative with money - although not as o tense as my husband.

My husband came from a poor upbringing. (Had things we didn’t like MTV, ac and a pool though). As soon as he gets money, he spends it. I am the saver and won’t run to get something to eat as soon as I get money. I will find something at home to eat and keep the money for other things.

He spends more money on personal stuff than I do. I’d rather save. I use cash more often than he does though.
