Going Rate for DJ / Photo Booth

Hi. We're in the preliminary stages of planning my daughter's Sweet 16 Party for August 2024. I'd like to book a vendor that does both DJ and a Photo Booth. Do you know what the going rate is for a basic package? I'd like to get a feel for what others have paid before I start contacting vendors.

I work in the event business, specializing in Sweet Sixteens and highly recommend Event Pros.

I don't know the exact price as I am sure each event is different for what your needs and wants are but you can contact them and they can give you a break down.

Also, I can get you info on all the extras, Candleabras, decorations, etc.

Going Rate for DJ / Photo Booth

You can expect to pay a DJ about $1,500 or so. And you also typically pay an MC. A photo booth is around $1,000 or so in my research. Some of the DJs have really clunky and weird looking photo booths though. I love the mirror photo booth! I photograph a lot of sweet 16s and the girls seem to love the mirror one the best. I believe Tommy Tunes has that one! We used Perfect Parties DJ, they were outstanding. That came with our venue package though. I paid additional for the MC. If you can request David as an MC, the kids love him and he does a great job. Most DJs use him, so if you say David, they will know who you mean!

I just planned a dance for the kids school. The DJ charged me $500 for the photo booth and I think $400 for the DJ. I don't know if I got a discount because it was school related event.

I also dealt Events by Mason for a separate service. He is a DJ and I know he specializes in Sweet 16s. He is a young guy starting out and he was awesome. He was a pleasure to work with and had a lot of fun, trendy ideas. I would definitely recommend contacting him for a sweet 16. I found him on Facebook. I believe he is based in Nassau but he came to Suffolk to work with us.

Going Rate for DJ / Photo Booth

We had a DJ and photo booth for my DD’s communion. The quotes we got were all over the place. I’d say average was about $2k for the basic package.

I got the deal of the century- DJ and photobooth for $800. It was a nice photobooth, too!
