Perimenopause

I have no idea if I’m starting perimenopause but I swear at a drop of the hat, I can suddenly be a raging *****. I don’t remember always being like this but there’s definitely been a transition in the last year. I’m 42 so I feel like it could be hormonal.

Perimenopause

I went through perimenopause around that age (I'm 49 and currently in menopause) and I remember I would roll my eyes constantly at people. Everyone/everything would annoy me.
Are you having any other symptoms? Hot flashes, trouble sleeping, wonky periods?

Re: Perimenopause

Yes. 52 and in peri menopause as I don't get my periods every month anymore. Last time I went 3 months and this time 2 months. I had hot flashes for a bit but they have been gone. Of course when it is cold out and I could use them they are no where to be found lol.

I still get that annoying time like I do before my period too.

Perimenopause

My periods are still 26-30 days apart but the flow has changed. Like I used to have a 5 day flow and now it’s an aggressive 3 day flow. I’ve always had night hot flashes but so far nothing intense during the day. I’m definitely sweatier when I have my period.

I seem to be least tolerant of others moodiness which make me moody. I have a physical coming up so I’ll discuss it with my doctor then as well.

Re: Perimenopause

I think I am there. I am 49, and last time I got my period was 7 months ago. I went through all the hot flashes in the summer, not only at night, but during the day. Well, Im always cranky, and I never was a good sleeper, so I cant go based on that.

I was getting them in the summer too, could not sleep. Got my period the beginning of August, nothing until November and then back 2 months later. Only 6 days this time though as I was getting it for 2 plus weeks at one time.

You're lucky, I'm 49 and just started getting my period twice a month now. Good times! Chat Icon
I also didn't get my first period until I was 17 so I figure I'll have it until I'm 70 to make up for lost time.

Disgusting question, but is it like a regular flow? I have been going through this for the last year or so, but since November it has been these two week periods. They are really light. I had a regular period in November and then two two-week “light” periods.

It’s so frustrating. My mood and body temperature are ok.
