New Crock Pot user

I finally opened it and am making a spaghetti sauce in it. I figured I know what it takes to do that and I wanted to be home the first time I used it.

So.... now I need other recipes Chat Icon

I have searched on here and gotten quite a few, but I know you ladies are holding out on me..... so let me have em!

Re: New Crock Pot user

I made this a few weeks ago and it was amazing!

Belgian Beef

6lbs of cubed stew meat - I seasoned the meat with some salt and pepper too. You can add frozen stew veggies too, but I didn't because DH is picky about veggies. But this tasted awesome over egg noodles.

1 bottle of beer (any kind is fine)

2 packages of brown gravy mix (the ones that come in the little packets)

1 14oz can of beef broth

1/4 cup of packed brown sugar

1/4 cup of vinegar

Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or low for 10 hours.

Really anything. If you have any links saved to your computer or recipes that you have saved. I have been searching still and came up with some yummy looking chicken ones with beer. DH will love me forever!

DH's fave crockpot meal: Mediterranean Chicken

Serve this boneless chicken breast recipe with hot cooked rice.
INGREDIENTS:
6 skinless and boneless chicken breasts
1 large can tomato sauce
1 small can tomato puree
1 can sliced mushrooms
1 can ripe olives, sliced or whole
1 tablespoon garlic
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon oregano
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup dry white wine, optional
hot cooked rice
Salt to taste

PREPARATION:
Wash chicken and pat dry. Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker except the rice. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Serve chicken and sauce over rice.
Serves 6.

I cut the chicken up as well before cooking.

Re: New Crock Pot user

Chicken Cordon Bleu: I enjoyed it, but the sauce was too strong tasting for DH.

Crockpot recipe for chicken stuffed with swiss cheese, ham, and Parmesan cheese. A flavorful crockpot stuffed chicken roll recipe, cordon bleu.

INGREDIENTS:
6 chicken breast halves
6 slices ham
6 slices Swiss cheese
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tablespoons oil
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup dry white wine

PREPARATION:
Place each chicken breast half between pieces of plastic wrap and pound gently to flatten to an even thickness. Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast; roll up and secure with toothpicks or kitchen twine.

Combine flour, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper in bowl. Roll chicken in the Parmesan and flour mixture; chill 1 hour. After chilling the chicken, heat a skillet with 3 tablespoons oil; brown chicken on all sides. In crockpot combine chicken soup and wine. Add browned chicken and cook on LOW for 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours or HIGH for about 2 1/2 hours. Thicken sauce with a mixture of flour and cold water (about 2 tablespoons flour whisked with 2 tablespoons cold water). Cook for about 20 minutes longer, until thickened.
Serves 6.
