i don't see how the cards mocking the mets means the cards should lose. its over for us anyway. what good would the cards losing do???

We'll be just as good in 07. Hey we should be proud of the Mets for making it as far as they did. We did get beat fair and square in the NLCS. Hey at least we didn't get eliminated in the first round right? We did give it a good fight... We were expected to win this year but what's gotta be more disappointing is if your a team that's expected to win every year and then get eliminated by an underdog team in the first round of playoffs...
Oh yeah congrats Bedda, your Mets got to play 7 more games than the Yankees this year. And what was the result? NL East Champions. What was the Yankees result? AL East Champions. So what was proven? Nothing. And if the Yankees are expected to win every year then of course when they lose it will be by an underdog team. An underdog team by the way that had the best record in baseball for the majority of the season and only lost the best record to the Yankees and the Mets in the last weekend of the season. That's some underdog, What was the Cardinals and the Dodgers records? Neither of those teams even broke 90 wins. Compared to all of the AL teams in the playoffs that all had more than 90 wins.
Do you really think it's more disappointing to the Yankee fans to lose to the Tigers in the first round? Or to the Mets fans who for the whole season have coasted through everything and were expected to walk into the world series, get beaten by the Cardinals in Shea Stadium in the bottom of the 9th inning, with their go to guy at the plate with the bases loaded. The Yankees are favored to win the world series just about every year. Here's a news flash for all Mets and Yankees fans-IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. The Yankees are not going to win every year. But at least for the last 11 seasons they have had a chance. I will take that any time.
