Mariah Carey - A Question
I am just curious - why do so many dislike her? I don't feel one way or the other and will not be for or against any response. I am just curious. Is it her music, her personal style, what?

She grates my nerves- she came from Long Island and now she walks - talks and acts like she is this Diva! Ugghhh She can sing but the only dancing or "entertaining" she does is when she raises her hand and points her finger in the air when she hits a high note. She walks around like she is porcelian and she will break!.
oookk I will stop .. she just works my last nerve!

I actually like a lot of Mariah Carey songs and I wouldn't say that I dislike HER.
What I dislike about her are her personal style and super diva attitude.
Maybe she's nice in person and is a good friend to have; who knows.

This is exactly what I don't like about her. She needs to dress her age and needs to start acting like the world doesn't revolve around her. She does have a great voice...I'll give her that much.

ahh even hearing her name makes me mad i cant stand her first off i hate her high pitched screaming in her songs annoys me her style for clothes ewe she just thinks she is soo beautiful and i dont agree i cant stand her!!!!!!!!!!

Ah but remember, Madonna is from Detroit. Is she not a DIVA? If you can be from Detroit and be a DIVA, you can be from LI and be a DIVA too! (I guess)

I would imagine most people dislike her because she is incredibly, amazingly stupid.
Have anyone heard interviews with her? It hurts, it really hurts to hear her speak!
And from her stupidity come all her other problems i.e. her career choices, as well as her complete inability to dress look like a normal grown up woman instead of $20 prostitute.

I like her better now that she has held her head high and made a comeback instead of retreating into a corner. Also, I think that she is now being more true to herself.
Years ago, I hated her. We went to the same high school and it seems like all the stories about her "rags to riches" life were so made up. She may not have had a lot then, but there were people who were worse off growing up. When she first became popular as a singer, her image did not fit her real personality. Now, even if you hate her image, I think she's being more true to who she really is. Even though it's not my style, I respect that.
