How long....

How long do your babies feed between feedings and how old are they. My boys are 8 weeks and still want to be fed every 2 1/2 hour to 3 hours. And they are almost taking 6 ounces as is. I just want longer breaks to happen. I don't know how much more of this i can take. I contemplating using rice cereal now...

My babies are 8 weeks and generally eat 5 oz every 4 hours... sometimes 3 1/2.

I found adding the rice cereal to be a lifesaver! The first few nights it didn't seem to make much of a diference, but after they got used to their bellies being fuller longer, they started sleeping longer a night.

Re: How long....

I am not a twin mommy, but I am having the same problem with my son. He is two months old. He is taking 6 oz and still wants to eat every 3 hours. Shouldn't the stretches be getting longer??? I was also thinking of trying cereal, everyone keeps telling me to. Do you think you are going to try it? I am still on the fence about it.

Yes I am. I am going to go out and try it later this week.

I'm curious how it will go for you, let me know. I might wait another week, but who knows. I would like him to sleep more before I go back to work!

Re: How long....

Your babies are still young..how much do they weigh? My girls went every 3 hours until i gave them food at 6months.. at 4 months i put rice in the bottle..but be careful because they could get constipated...and i think they were satisfied longer maybe every 4 hours. Now i give 6 oz's followed by 1/2 jar of fruit and 1/2 jar of veg and i mix in oatmeal to thicken it up..for dinner i am giving the stage 2 chicken with rice.
