Please God...someone help me before I fling my shoes into the Hudson River!!!

I am wearing a pair of relatively new black pumps. I was wearing them sans hose up until today. I am wearing black tights, and of course, the shoes are coming of the back of my foot with every step. I am walking like an idiot and they are truly driving me insane.

can someone please suggest a remedy. they don't slide off without hose.

TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I truly do not know what to recommend. Maybe go to Duane Reade and buy an insole to put in the shoes maybe it will help I am not sure.

Put a bandaid on the inside heel - this keeps them from slipping, adds traction.

Temporary Fix If you can't run to a drugstore and get a pair of those shoe inserts (which work great):
Take a tissue and fold it neatly and place it into the front of your shoe, under the ball of your foot. It will position your foot slightly higher in the shoe and put your heal closer to the back of the shoe so that it's not falling off.

The key is to fold it neatly so that it doesn't bunch up and pinch your foot.

Good luck and whatever you do...Don't throw a perfectly good pair of shoes into the River! Chat Icon

they sell heel grips in the drug store too.

They stick on the back of your shoe and keep your heel from slipping out. I use them all the time.

Yup, I had the same problem and I bought the heel inserts at Payless. It made a world of difference!

I LOVE everyone that suggested heel inserts! they are awesome...

I also love everyone that made the other suggestions...they just didn't work as well! Chat Icon

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. I searched hither and yon for these shoes, so the fact that I don't have to chuck them makes me Chat Icon Chat Icon

buy Dr. Scholl's mole skin to stick in the back of your shoes. It works great and is soft!
