Mohegan Sun
Since the boards are so slow today I am posting in here as oppose to travel.
We are going to Mystic and DH is adamant about checking out Mohegan sun. What are good restaurants there, anyone knows?
If I am forced to go, at least I want to be well fed
And if anyone has anything to say about Mohegan Sun in general, please feel free to do so!

IMHO, Mohegan Sun is OK. The cigarette smoke drives me crazy (I'm just not used to it!) and the restaurants are on the pricey side. It's a nice casino if you like to gamble though.

There are TONS of good restaurants there.
For Italian - Pompeii and Ceaser is great.
For Steak- The LongHouse and Michael Jordan's
There is also a restaurant called Rain- very trendy menu
They have more casual restaurants too- like Summer Shack (clam bar) but if you want a really good meal go to one of the more upscale ones.
I happen to LOVE Mohegan Sun- they have great shops- Coach, Yankee Candle, Cache- so if you aren't into gambling you won't be bored, tons of cool restaurants and bars (try the one upstairs with the planiterium ceiling)
and the hotel is SO nice!

And if you don't want to spend $$$$$ go to the Jordan steakhouse next door. Only difference is they don't carry the crazy expensive cuts. I thought it was really good.

I just came back from Mystic the other day. I didn't go to Mohegan Sun, I went to Foxwoods instead. I just wanted to recommend a place for breakfast. We went to this little place (this place is tiny) called Kitchen Little. The food there was awesome! Just thought I'd share since your talking about Mystic and food!

If your in Mystic - go to Daniel Packer inn. Awesome food. Also Voodoo Lounge was good too, and they ahve live entertainment

Thank you so much guys for all the tips!! Definitely super helpful!
I am slowing convincing DH that we don't need to go to Mohegan sun to have a good time.
As far as I am concerned, it's aaaall about good food and great scenery!
