WOW i cant believe how many Bill Maher haters there are.
Even before Quiina posted that pic (bad taste i will admit)
But i think he is great and I LOVE HIS SHOW!! Hes one of the FEW people on tv who gets REAL speakers form both sides of the political spectrum and talks about the REAL issues!!!!
Sorry, but im a fan!!!!
Again, i will point out, the croc hunter costume is a bit much but hey... peole in hollywood have been doing wrong things FOREVER!!!!!

I think most of the hatred was aimed at his choice of a costume. Steve Irwin's death was not very long ago - I think Bill's costume shows a lack of respect for Steve's family. Even if he was trying for 'shock humor', I think this attempt was just cruel and wrong.
ETA: If I was famous, and DH died in suck a tragic way, and Bill Maher dressed up like that, I would track him down and kick his a-ss. No seriously.

No i realize that. But alot of people said that they hated him already and now they hate him more.
I agree, Steve Irwin costume=bad choice

I like Bill Maher a lot and I watch his show when I have a chance, althought that happens very rearily.
I definitely don't always agree with everything he says but I respect him and his views exactly for the reason stated below:

I like to keep on top of politics and what going on in the world and i cant rely on the media or reg news stations so like watching programs like this that also fit in humor!!!
Its AMAZING how little people know about what is going on w. the war in Iraq and i think his show really OPENS people's eyes. Unfort, the people who watch his show, arent the ones who SHOULD be watching. MAke sense??

I think he is smart and witty. but that "costume" is BEYOND tasteless  EVEN for him. no excuses

im indifferent about him before the costume.
he didnt do anything for me, i personally dont find him funny or boring..hes just bleh for me
as for the costume- that is over the top disgusting and a slap in the face to Steve Irwins family
He should be ASHAMED of himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to like Politically Incorrect a lot, but that is b/c of the panel...Bill Maher has a dumb sense of humor. I HATE when he would do standup. He is such a nerd. The stingray costume was his last straw with me.
