Does anyone's baby take Zantac for reflux?

I had to take Cassidy to a gastroenterologist today for her reflux, and they are starting her on Zantac.
Anyone else have to use this and did it help?

My daughter was started on Zantac at 11 days old for reflux, it worked amazing, she was a different baby in 2 days!!! I took her off if it at about 6 months when it got btter on her own, but she suffered from reflux until she was almost 2, it was always triggered by colds or teething, times when there is excessive saliva and the PH balance in her GI tract was unsettled. FM me if you need more info, we went through alot with her reflux!!

Cole was given a script for Zantac when he was about 6 weeks old. I don't give it to him too often though. He has whats known as "silent reflux" -- the vomitting is pretty bad, but it really doesn't seem to be causing him pain. Zantac doesn't really "cure" the reflux. It's really for the pain/discomfort associated with it. My friends son had reflux and while he didn't spit up nearly as much as my son, he screamed through feedings and was really in alot of pain. Zantac was a miracle for them.
Cole was starting to outgrow it, but I've noticed now that he's teething and drooling a lot, the reflux is returning. I just gave him Zantac this week for the first time in a couple of months. I guess I just use my judgement. I don't want to medicate him if its not necessary, but I can tell when his tummys hurting and the Zantac helps.

MJ's been taking Zantac since he was about 3 months 2x's a day. We tried mylanta for a while but it wasn't enough. The zantac worked within a few days, one thing that helps when you get it have the pharmacy flavor it. It'll make giving it much easier on both of you.

My niece was born late February and went on Zantac at 2.5 weeks, it helped so much! She was less agitated, didn't vomit as much, slept better... My SIL stopped it recently (she is now 5 months old).
