best glue for scrapping/card making?

I am going to AC Moore today and I NEED glue. Any suggestions?
I need it for paper...and I also need glue that will hold down ribbon.....

For ribbon, you cannot go wrong with the Xyron sticker maker machine. It's shaped like the letter X. It is a small machine that you feed the ribbon through to turn it into a sticker. You can use it to turn anything into a sticker. The machine itself is about $10. You will find that the tape cartridges run out quickly. If you see a good price, buy extra. I promise, you will become addicted to this silly little thing! I put a photo below. It also comes in funky colors in addition to the orange. There are other types from the same company but the "X" is my favorite.

For other adhesive, my old favorite is still rubber cement. It is acid free, but some people don't think it is really archival safe. But, I have been scrapping since I was little and this is what I always use. My old books still look great. This is cheaper than any other glue out there. It is not good for just a small spot, better for big pieces of paper.

I also use something called the Zig 2 Way pen. Picture a pen where glue comes out the tip. It's great for putting glue on a small spot. For small spots I also sometimes use glue dots.

I only use Tombow for my card making

for Ribbon, I love the continuous Glue Lines



it works fantastic!!

Personally, I dont like rubber glue...it doesnt look smooth to me....it dries lumpy.

Oh, speaking of the rubber cement, I only like the brand in the red and black can (called Best Test).
