They are fine - just as good as other 3rd party websites.

Re: Did anyone ever book a trip from Travelocity?

I booked a flight once. I got the email with the price I booked and then my credit card bill was much higher. I called and they said that I looked at the lower price but didn't book it in time (I had the confirmation email). I had to contest it with AMEX and travelocity wouldn;t budge. I had to send in all my paperwork etc to AMEX. so I will never use them again!

Nope. They are the competition Chat Icon

Plus they often do "caching" which means they'll show you a lower rate and it wont be a bookable flight and offer you the same flight but with a higher rate.

They also have a $15.95 service fee for air reservations which is built into the rate. Airlines do not pay commissions so travelocity, orbitz, expedia, and even my company have to do service fees. But if you book directly with the vendor for air you will only pay your basic taxes and fees. If you need to make any changes with your itinerary you need to call Travelocity not the vendor if you booked with travelocity.
