How can you soften your cervix?
My midwife said they are going to check me at my 36 week appointment to see if my cervix is softening on its own. She kind of gave me the feeling that inductions go better if your body is starting things on its own.
What can you do to soften your cervix?

Ok great, i wasn't sure if those things were to just bring on labor or they actually helped with the softening. I guess I'll get working on that list.

Re: How can you soften your cervix?
well softening is the first step of you body to prepare for labor when the cervix softens it begins to thin out and dialate. Im pretty sure though in the case of induction the cervix needs to be soft to go ahead- My cervix was soft and I did all of those things that by the time I went into labor I was paper thin and dialated really quick, I beleive that all those methods really helped me along. Good luck
