IVF Fert Report
Well, they retrieved 10 follicles yesterday morning. However, when I left they told me that none of the eggs inside were mature and they would incubate them and fertilize them later. Of course, the sperm my husband left might not survive the wait and that could require him to return. Considering that he has sperm count issues, we were concerned.
Anyway, I got a call this morning. Two of the eggs fertilized and look good, so far. I was hoping to get better than a 20% fert rate. Last time, 10 eggs were retrieved, 4 fertilized and only 2 made it to transfer.
Here's hoping and praying that these 2 are fighters...

The day before retrieval, the follicle sizes were: 22, 21.5, 19.5, 16, 10 on the right and 20.5, 18, 15 on the left. There were also another 2 that were smaller. I guess the same way not all follicles contain eggs, not all large follicles contain mature eggs?
Thanks for all the good wishes and baby dust. Tomorrow's the transfer. We're going shopping today and will be piling up on the pineapple.
