embarrasing question
what is the difference between chicken broth and chicken stock. can they be used interchangeably and if not where can i get the chicken stock?

I think that chicken broth is made from cooking chicken meat...
but the chicken stock is made from cooking the bones in water...
and because of that the stock ends up being somewhat thicker and has a stronger taste .... the thickness I think comes from the natural gelatin-type stuff that is in bones...
I have used them interchangabley when I couldn't find stock. For some reason in my store I have a hard time finding stock, just broth, but usually find it in the "organic" foods aisle.
