So much for today's outing!

So I've become more daring in my "tenure" as a twin mom. I have always taken the babies out to get my coffee and the like, but lately I have been trying to expand our types of trips. I had a return to BBB so I get the babies and myself ready, a process that takes about 2 hours Chat Icon and I load everyone into the car, trying to get there when the store opens. I drive to Huntington, park the car, unload babies, reload them into the stroller and walk to the door only to find out... THEY ARE CLOSED due to a power outage. It's just my luckChat Icon

I think the trip exhausted me more than the babies! Chat Icon

Oh man that stinks!!!!!!

What a waste. Keep bringing them out, it will start to take less time once you do it a bunch.

I cant wait to take mine out. We're waiting until after they get their shots, day after thanksgiving. I feel like I've been trapped in this house forever!

So funny you posted this because I have been terrified to take the babies out to stores and last week my mom made me take them out. We went to Old Navy and they were fine. I just don't like all the people starring and leaning over to see them.

I was going to try BRU but realized that i can't push the stroller and pick up the stuff i need. My mom and me are going to the Fortunoff Christmas Store tomorrow.....

I know from experiencing the attention that my SIL got w/ her twins that everyone feels entitled to say something, touch them, etc. I just put up the hoods of their infant carriers and steer clear of people in crowded aisles!!

It is liberating to go out and about, though, so when you can, I recommend it to the really new momsChat Icon

Ugh the attention at times is so annoying. It is hard to run into a store and get out quick. Well it is hard for me, since I hate being rude.

The stupid questions really get me. Yes they are twins, don't they look to close to be at least 9 months apart.

I alwasy want to make up some stupid answers to tell people but I feel bad. I want to tell them the smaller one is 4 months older, that would get them confused.

I wonder how many people will ask if B/G Twins are identical, that one is my favorite!

Also you will find that everyone you run into, has a twin, knows a twin, twins run in their family, etc, and they all spout wrong information. Chat Icon

At times though it is helpful sicne people will so stuff for you in the store, or let you go ahead of them, which is nice.

I'm in the same boat. I feel like I'm in "Baby Jail" and in 2 months, I will be on probation! Chat Icon
